Failing over to Standalone

In the event that your integrated POS has a major failure and is unable to communicate with the terminal, you are able to change the terminal to operate in standalone mode. This will allow you to continue to accept card transactions even though your POS system is not operational.

Your POS will have no record of these transactions

When in standalone mode, your POS won't record transactions because it's not connected to the terminal. You'll need to manually reconcile these transactions with your POS and other systems.

By following the below instructions you can failover to standalone mode and back to integrated mode.

Step	Instructions
1	Select the Menu button (☰) from the top edge of the display.
2	Tap Operating Mode
3	Enter your Merchant Passcode.
4	Receive on-screen confirmation that the terminal has changed to Standalone Mode.
5	Tap the cross in the top right to close the menu, then tap anywhere on the screen to bring up the amount entry screen. Your terminal is now operating in Standalone Mode.

Your terminal will automatically revert to Integrated after a terminal reboot

Your current operational mode is set until the terminal is rebooted, at which point, it returns to its default operating mode. The operating mode can be set in the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal. If you don't have access to the portal, please contact your nominated helpdesk.

If your terminal has a printer fitted, you can print a receipt for the customer. If you do not have a printer, you can retrieve the receipt from Cloud EFTPOS and print or email from your web browser.

Single Shot Transactions

In addition to changing the operational mode to Standalone for failover, you also have the option to complete a single transaction in Standalone Mode without needing to change operational modes.

Enabling Single Shot Transactions in Integrated Mode

1	Tap the Menu button (☰) to access the dashboard.
2	Enter your merchant passcode.
3	Navigate to Settings > Enable Single Shot Transactions in Integrated Mode.

Completing a Single Shot Transaction

Step	Instruction
1	Click on the Single Shot icon in the top right corner of default screen.
2	Enter your merchant passcode.
3	Initiate the transaction, as you would in Standalone Mode.
